Summary

The Operations Quality Analyst is responsible for managing the three key phases of Quality Management—Quality Planning/Prevention, Corrective Action, and Continuous Improvement. This role collaborates with teams to achieve all quality KPIs and ensure adherence to quality standards.

Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Manage quality excursions by taking prompt corrective actions and following proper escalation procedures.
  • Oversee product and material quality from NPI to mass production, including First Article Inspection (FAI), Inspection Plans (IP), and Work Instructions (WI), while adhering to industry-specific protocols.
  • Assist in developing quality control plans for materials, processes, and products.
  • Analyze, monitor, and report quality KPIs for both internal (factory) and external (customer) metrics, including:
    • RFPY (Rolled First Pass Yield) / OBA (Out of Box Audit)
    • RMA (Returned Material Authorization) / DPQL (Delivered Product Quality Level)
    • Customer Feedback
    • LRR (Line Reject Rate) / RI Flag (Receiving Inspection Flag) / WWQA (World Wide Quality Alert)
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency for customers, Celestica, and suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain internal quality system procedures, work instructions, and workmanship standards.
  • Assist in process, product, system, and supplier audits, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ISO, compliance audits, and safety regulations.
  • Monitor and ensure timely and accurate implementation of Engineering Changes (EC) and Supplier Process Change Notifications (SPCN).
  • Enhance quality skills and product knowledge through training programs.
  • Support the deployment of quality strategies and execute assignments as directed by leadership.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

  • Proficiency in quality tools, ISO and IPC standards, and quality management processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in generating reports and presenting quality data effectively.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and quality methodologies such as FMEA, PMP, SPC, and 8D problem-solving.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean, and Kaizen principles.
  • Awareness of business operations and their impact on customer satisfaction, product quality, on-time delivery, and profitability.
  • Effective communication skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders.

Typical Experience & Education

Experience: 4 to 6 years in quality management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
