Summary

The Manager, Test Manufacturing Engineering is responsible for effectively managing the resources who accept, transfer, install, improve and maintain automatic test equipment and test programs that are used for product testing and design verification. They also may support the test development of the test equipment and processes to ensure robust and high quality test solutions and final products are realized.

Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Managing resource allocations, schedules, and project budgets
  • Create training plans for the development of team members.
  • Understand and cable harness manufacturing, drive system, sub-system, and interface requirements
  • Propose and lead feasibility studies and proof of concepts
  • Lead analysis, such as circuit, timing, thermal/cooling, DC/DC power design, and electrical loads.
  • Develop testing solutions and checklists for products
  • Lead electronics subsystem integration and system-level testing.
  • New product introduction as well as creating test procedure, documenting, and implementation of processes for new products.
  • Guide the development of new features to continuously improve existing products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Supplier Engineering, Quality Engineering, supply chain organizations, etc. and lead system-level discussions including impact on overall system performance.
  • Work with the customer to refine production specifications and execute their product vision.
  • Work with design team & customer to resolve issues such as EOL components, manufacturability issues and customer requests.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced global team environment and with other technical teams

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

  • Knowledge of Lab VIEW,  Lab Windows/CVI or C programming.
  • Familiarity with NFPA 70, NFPA 79, UL 508A, IPC 620 preferred
  • Solidworks Electrical is preferred
  • Microsoft Office
  • Engineering Change Management Process
  • Design for Manufacturability, Design for Cost
  • Medical / health-tech knowledge was a preference - ISO 13485 is a must

Typical Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in testing.
