Summary

Systems & Applications Design is an interdisciplinary field of engineering that works with cross functional teams of other engineers, customers, supply chain and project leadership to ensure robust and high quality product development. 
The Lead Engineer, Systems/Applications designs, integrates, and manages complex systems over their life cycles. They are engineering leads engaged in issues such as requirements engineering, reliability, logistics, coordination of different teams, testing and evaluation, maintainability and many other disciplines necessary for successful system design, development, implementation, and ultimate decommission.  Enhance designs with feedback from reviews in areas such as manufacturing, test, supply chain, reliability, industrial design and simulations.

Detailed Description

Job Requirement:

  • Full-time Bachelor or Master Major in Microwave, electrical, electronic, mechanical engineering, etc.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in EMC or Safety test, design, or multinational certification
  • Proficient in using oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer and receiver
  • Strong ability on trouble shoot or resolve issues related to Safety
  • Familiar with multinational certifications and agencies such as CE, CB, UL, TUV, FCC, VCCI, BSMI, KCC, ANATEL, NEBS
  • Familiar with international regulatory standards such as IEC60950-1, IEC62368-1, UL62368-1, CISPR32, CISPR35, EN300386, FCC subpart 15B, GR1089, etc.
  • Experience in EMC Safety design of Storage/Server/switches preferred;
  • Experience in AC power supply or DC power supply Safety design preferred
  • Fluent English listening, speaking, reading and writing skill, capable of international communication, CET-4.
  • Excellent documentation skills including record maintenance/ tracking and understanding of document traceability
  • Good initiative and positive personality, self-motivation
  • A detail-oriented individual, and the ability to work in a team environment, as well as individually
  • Job Responsibilities:
  • Primary responsibilities including EMC Safety design and test. Work closely with internal team, customer and suppliers
  • Delivery on schedule, cost and quality from certification perspective,  
  • Provide guidance during product design, review schematic, PCB layout and Mechanical drawings
  • Be responsible for the EMC and Safety test case specification according to the product requirements
  • Be responsible for verification on EMC Safety test, communication with external test laboratories, analysis of test results, generate test report
  • Be responsible for applying the new product for Safety and certification, and get approval
  • Technical support for customer projects Safety and certification related topics.

Physical Demands

  • Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. 
  • Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
