Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Set up, troubleshoots, repairs and maintains automation components, equipment, test instruments and processes
  • Conducts engineering study, trial, failure investigation.
  • Assist in or execute Installation, Operation, Performance/process qualification protocols.
  • Ensures test/manufacturing processes/equipment meet calibration requirement, yield and scrap targets.
  • Provides basic technical support on assigned materials for production or customer-identified material problems.
  • Maintain spare parts
  • Helps determine inspection criteria for incoming materials.
  • Provides basic technical support on assigned materials for production or customer-identified material problems.
  • Helps determine inspection criteria for incoming materials.
  • Coordinates and performs component selection and qualification.
  • Evaluates new equipment, coordinates software and hardware upgrades, helps determine equipment operational parameters through DOE and recommends new equipment.
  • Acts as the focal point for all product-related technical issues
  • Assisting the Engineers in interacting with customers to update them on Engineering evaluation related matters eg: Scheduling, Data Findings and Results
  • Assisting the Engineers in interacting with customers to resolve problems and increase the quality and yield of the product.
  • Will also provide feedback to other engineering groups and possibly the customer to ensure smooth production of products.
  • Solves assigned technical product, process, component, or material problems affecting efficient manufacture of products within a specific area of responsibility in training or under direction/guidance of more experienced engineers
  • Takes part in Kaizen and / or Lean Continuous Improvement projects
  • Writing up of reports and complete documentation of engineering actions/activities, maintenance and calibration

 

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:

  • Diploma / Degree in Engineering disciplines
  • More than 2 years of relevant work experience in any or all of the following departments (Manufacturing / Process / Equipment) within a semi / fully automation environment
  • Knowledge of electrical, electromechanical and pneumatic systems and principles of operation.
  • Strong knowledge of the setup, operation, and maintenance of specific equipment sets used in manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in Lean / Kaizen projects advantageous
  • Good organization skills.
  • Ability to evaluate, diagnose and troubleshoot problems.
  • Ability to read and interpret product specifications, schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Knowledge of industry and quality standards.
  • Ability to evaluate materials, gather and analyze data and determine root cause of problems.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of internal and external customers.

Working Days / Hours:  [You may select Either ONE of the following shifts. Once hired, shift is FIXED. There is NO need to perform rotating shift]

  • Shift A: 7am – 7pm [Sundays to Alternate Wednesdays] - Day Shift
  • Shift B: 7am – 7pm [Alternate Wednesdays to Saturdays] - Day Shift
  • Shift C: 7pm – 7am [Sundays to Alternate Wednesdays] - Night Shift
  • Shift D: 7pm – 7am [Alternate Wednesdays to Saturdays] - Night Shift
