Summary
The Engineer, Electrical Design develops new electrical systems/circuits for various applications. Research system ideas and draw up plans for these systems, and capture them in schematics and system specifications. Test, simulate, validate and qualify their systems and make adjustments as needed. Provide support throughout the manufacturing of the electrical systems they have designed.
The Engineer, Electrical Design works in cross functional teams with other designers, customers, manufacturing engineering and project leadership to ensure robust and high quality product development. Enhance designs with feedback from reviews in areas such as manufacturing, test, supply chain, reliability, industrial design and simulations.
Detailed Description
Job Requirement :
• Degree in electronics engineering or equivalent, master degree is
preferred
• Minimum 4 years relevant experience, preferable in optical equipment, router or
Ethernet switch.
• Experience in embedded system design (MCU, ARM, MIPS, PowerPC or x86) and
Network Processor
• Experience in product testing, certification.
• Experience as a team leader
• Knowledge on architecture design, schematics, high speed PCB layout, EMC
standards
• Familiar with EDA tools such as OrCAD, Concept HDL, Allegro etc. •
Good communication skills, English language proficiency
• Team worker and leadership
Job Responsibilities :
• Taking the role of Hardware Design of communication product like Switch, Router, •
Access Server, SDH/SONET ADM etc. based on different solutions or platforms •
Converting customer requirements into detailed technical specifications, driving • design
proposal preparation.
• Evaluating chipsets, solutions, and reference designs based on cost, performance and
time to market, including hardware and software aspects
• Monitoring market developments, new features, devices, costs on a continuous basis
• Developing detailed system architecture (block diagram, component selection,
hardware/software interface)
• Implement detail product HW design, support other design aspects like PCB,
Mechanical, SW etc.
• Estimating resource requirements for execution phase
• Supporting the manufacture team for optimizing, debugging till product launch

Physical Demands
- Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
- Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
- Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
- Occasional travel may be required.
