Summary

We are known as Product Data Management (PDM) team, part of Global Supply Chain Services department. We are responsible to setup our customer data into our internal system and also to ensure it is ready for the purchasing and manufacturing activities. We offer customized, flexible and integrated supply chain solutions, supported by a global technology product lifecycle management (PLM) system.

Detailed Description

  • Responsible for receiving, logging, and converting Customer’s product data into our internal data format that to beused by our PLM system (Bills of Materials, preferred supplier information).
  • Receive, analyze and process our Customer Engineering Change Orders.
  • Disseminates notification of data readiness and/or distributes data as appropriate.
  • Works with internal workstream (Production Planner, Manufacturing Engineer, Customer Program, IT etc) and external customers to resolve any data integrity issues.
  • Support the end-to-end product data setup until it is ready to be used by our production/manufacturing team.
  • Acts as the focal point for all product data related technical issues.
  • Interacts with customers to resolve problems, increase the quality and yield of the product data release.
  • Work on Continuous Process Improvement.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

  • Strong systems skills, including common office platforms such as MS Office (knowledge in SAP would be an advantage).
  • Knowledge of supply chain management and manufacturing practices and procedures.
  • Understanding of product structure and electronics/mechanical components.
  • Good communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills with strong data sense and able to deal with large quantity of data with high accuracy.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight time deadlines.
  • Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion.
  • Able to handle ad-hoc business requests.
  • Functional knowledge in data and material handling is an asset.

Typical Experience

  • 1 to 2 years in Data Management or relevent experience.

Typical Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (Electronic / Mechanical / Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or Supply Chain Management), or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
