About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and creative Communications Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will lead internal and employee communications efforts and support key corporate communications initiatives that help engage, inform, and inspire our global workforce.

 

You will work closely with leaders and stakeholders across our business to translate strategy into compelling content, strengthen our employer brand, and ensure messaging is clear, consistent, and aligned with our mission, vision, values and strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Internal and Employee Communications

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive internal communications strategy that strengthens culture, drives engagement, and aligns with company goals, values, and strategic priorities.
  • Plan and deliver communications for key programs, events, and initiatives across the organization.
  • Create high-quality content for internal channels, including intranet, leadership messages, videos, and town halls.
  • Partner closely with HR, executive leadership, and other departments to communicate organizational announcements, policy changes, benefits information, and culture-building initiatives.
  • Support leaders with messaging, talking points, presentations, and communications coaching.
  • Develop targeted communication plans that support enterprise-wide change initiatives.

 

Content Creation and Storytelling

  • Write, edit, and produce compelling content for a variety of internal and select external communication materials, including executive talking points, blogs, videos scripts, and intranet posts.
  • Translate complex business updates and technical information into clear, accessible, and engaging messages for all employee audiences.
  • Develop and maintain an editorial calendar to ensure a continuous pipeline of engaging employee stories and organizational news.

 

Leadership and Stakeholder Support

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and key internal stakeholders, offering strategic communication guidance and support.
  • Develop communications plans and materials for change management initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and clear communication during periods of organizational change.

 

Corporate Communications

  • Support corporate communications initiatives including executive visibility, reputation building, brand consistency, and external storytelling.
  • Draft and edit press releases, website content, corporate messaging, and social media copy as needed.
  • Maintain consistent brand voice across all communications and channels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners (HR, Marketing, Operations, Corporate Sustainability, etc.) to ensure alignment and message clarity.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in corporate communications, internal or employee communications.
  • Proven experience developing and executing internal communications strategies in a complex or global environment.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling, and presentation skills.
  • Strong ability to simplify complex information into engaging, accessible content.
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders and navigating multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with shifting priorities.
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in technology, manufacturing, or global organizations an asset.

Salary

The stated range includes Base Salary and target Short-Term Incentive (STI) compensation only. A comprehensive benefits package is offered in addition to this range.

 

The range described in this posting is an estimate by the Company, and may change based on several factors, including but not limited to a change in the duties covered by the job posting, or the credentials, experience or geographic jurisdiction of the successful candidate.

 

Salary Range: $110,000-$160,000 CAD/year
