About this opportunity:
The Customer Quote Associate Intern will be involved in supporting quote activities for both new and existing business. You will receive assignments based on objectives and then set your own goals to meet the timeline. The student will be involved in a variety of projects and opportunities to understand the team and function better. The role will work closely under the supervision of a team member. Scope of the role will depend on the function and the complexity of the work assigned will vary depending on the individual.
Preferred Skills:
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to prioritize and work on several tasks at the same time
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Experience working with excel power query and macros is considered an asset
- Programming skills is an asset
Activities:
- Work is guided by detailed instructions, routines, and procedures. Works under close supervision and receives detailed instructions on all work assignments.
- Will work directly with immediate supervisor, co-workers, and team members on quote activities
- Consolidates, tabulates, analyzes and reports on various topics, commitments and performance metrics.
- Communicate with internal customers to resolve missing and/or inaccurate data.
To succeed, you will need to build strong cross-functional relationships, using your persuasion, negotiation, and tact to gain support. You will interact regularly with the quote team and you'll also work with senior managers on issues related to your area of expertise. Maintaining positive relationships with key customers and suppliers is also critical to the success of our organization.
Physical Demands, duties of this position are varied and will include:
- Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
- Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
- Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.

Education: Currently enrolled in a University internship program and have completed their 3rd year of studies. This role is ideal for students who are enrolled in a Business/Commerce or a Finance program. Students must be intending to return to school at the end of the internship.
