About this opportunity: 

The Global Communications Intern will work as a member of Celestica's Corporate Communications team. The intern will be responsible for supporting employee communications programs, social media and marketing communications activities. 

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Enthusiastic.
  • Creative.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and collaboratively
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Previous experience working with Photoshop and social media dashboard considered an asset
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Willingness to learn and grow.

 

Activities: 

  • Support the planning, coordination and execution of a variety of employee events such as internal meetings, celebrations and spirit activities.
  • Create compelling content for the Intranet and manage updates.
  • Coordinate tradeshow and conference planning & execution.
  • Support development of customer-facing materials (presentations, proposals, etc.).
  • Coordinate photo and video shoots.
  • Support case study development and distribution.
  • Media monitoring.
  • Managing promotional merchandise.
  • Write and edit marketing communications collateral, employee communications presentations.

 

Physical Demands, duties of this position are varied and will include:

  • Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data
  • Repetitive manual movements are frequently required (e.g. data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.).

Experience: No formal experience is required

 

Education: Currently enrolled in University/College internship program, completing 3rd year in a 4-year program in University. Or completing 2nd year in a 3-year Diploma program specializing in Communications or Journalism. Or a recent college or university graduate.
