About the opportunity:

The  Global Quality Intern  position is ideal for a person interested in developing operation systems in a worldwide manufacturing organization. The candidate will have the opportunity to learn and contribute to several key enabling functions in Global Quality organization. We are looking for a team player who possesses exceptional communication skills (written and verbal), is able to learn quickly, and is self-motivated.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Understanding of Google Applications
  • Critical thinking on how to leverage existing resources and technology to bring value to the business
  • Strong analytical skills to present data in an innovative way to business leaders
  • Time management and ability to prioritize and re-assess schedules and tasks quickly and effectively

 

Activities: 

  • Create operation reports for global operations leaders.
  • Collaborate with Global Quality operations worldwide to achieve all objectives.
  • Participate in Global Quality programs deployment and support.
  • Participate in teleconferences, meetings with global counterparts.
  • Participate in volunteering activities within Celestica volunteer programs.
  • Create and update website content. Quality communications for the sites.

Physical Demands:

  • Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data
  • Repetitive manual movements are frequently required (e.g. data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc).

Education: Currently enrolled in a College or University internship program and have completed their 2nd or 3rd year of studies. The ideal candidate should be currently enrolled in a Business, Data Analytics, or Engineering major.
