About this Opportunity:
This role combines data analytics with business savvy communication development opportunities. This individual should be self-driven, have interest in continuous improvement and a willingness to support their team. Students will have the opportunity to work in the Corporate Supply Chain and develop skills in Direct and Indirect supply chain/ procurement business practices, communications, analytics, as well as advanced proficiency in various Microsoft products, project management and Global interaction experience.
The Indirect Procurement team is responsible for ensuring that products and services purchased are provided with the best value and quality for what is required. They are responsible for developing contracts, managing the vendor selection process, monitoring spending and driving policy compliance for audits. The quote controller portion of the role acts as the Indirect Procurement “Request for Quote/Information” (RFX) focal point between external and internal stakeholders. Students will also support data analysis and management reporting to drive understanding around Global Spend and Savings for the company. This position is ideal for students that are currently enrolled in 3rd or 4th year from Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Commerce/Finance, or Social Sciences.
The data analyst portion of the role is to engage with Supply Chain cross functional business partners and facilitate building data pipelines and analytics projects to tailor solutions to business problems, using analytics to provide insights to enable incremental results. These analytics help to ensure the company runs successfully. The opportunity allows for global data trend analysis across a number of business functions around the globe. The data is reported to various senior leaders in the company including the CPO.

Knowledge in Machine Learning, Microsoft Azure cloud services (Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks), and Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and other services) is an asset

The ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new languages, tools, frameworks

General knowledge of manufacturing, supply chain and electronics industry is an asset
Activities:

Create and Manage Dashboards based on Executive and Regional Needs

Automate and manage existing workflows with Python and PowerApps

Updating and Maintaining Databases in Azure, iValua and other Software
-
Compile, analyze and reporting of indirect procurement data

Create and present a Monthly Operating Report
-
Assist Commodity Managers with spend analysis and the categorization of key spend area

Perform routine reporting tasks that involve spend, performance reports and invoice analysis

Send out RFX packages, manage proposals, timelines, questions & answers related to RFQs

Setting up NDA documents with potential vendors

Develop vendor comparison charts (price, capabilities)

Support SCM Data team for various improvement projects
Physical Demands, duties of this position are varied and will include:

Duties of this position are performed in a normal office with exposure to manufacturing environments

Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data

Repetitive manual movements are frequently required (e.g. data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc)
