Detailed Description

 

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Customer credit management – Ensure exposure to customer risk adheres to internal policy, recommend remediation strategies.
  • Insurance – Partnering with Risk Management, business unit owners and insurance providers, responsible for administration of global insurance portfolio.
  • Credit Rating – Responsible for ensuring D&B, Credit referral process established & documented.
  • Pension fund management – Perform analysis, monthly reconciliations, other pension fund administrative duties, & evaluation of pension fund managers.
  • Cash Management – Review forecast to ensure appropriate liquidity.
  • Risk Management-FX – Consolidate Regional Forecast. Ensure Exposure properly identified. Support development of hedging strategy.
  • Share Plan Administration – Set up procedures for share plan administration. Support development & rollout of share plan.
  • Perform analysis to evaluate project impact on working capital, cash and debt covenants.
  • Manages the audit, compliance and external reporting processes.
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly management reporting deliverables as needed.
  • Develops and implements business controls and procedures to minimize or comply with audit recommendations.
  • Identify areas to improve efficiencies across treasury operations including leveraging existing and new tools.
  • Staffs the department, assigns work, reviews performance and addresses performance issues.
  • Provides leadership, coaching, and development.
  • Oversee or participate in ad hoc projects and analysis and other responsibilities as needed.
  • Provide back-up support to treasury team members as required

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

  • Undergraduate degree in finance, economics or related field
  • Professional designation (CPA/CA, CGA, CFA or CTP) preferred
  • 5+ years treasury/accounting/banking experience
  • Experience with treasury management systems (Reval) is an asset.
  • Strong financial analysis skills
  • Strong computer skills, including advanced skills in Excel and proficiency in PowerPoint
  • Experience managing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proven ability to prioritize and multiple tasks in a time sensitive manner
  • Roll-up-your-sleeves attitude, approachable and motivated
  • Good problem resolution skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of generally accepted accounting and financial principals and procedures.
  • Ability to manage basic project management techniques

Physical Demands

  • Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment
  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data

Typical Experience

  • Seven to 10 years of relevant experience

Typical Education

  • Bachelor's degree, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Education experience may vary by geography.
