Summary

As an electrical engineer specializing in automation, you will design, develop, and implement industrial automation and control systems, converting operational needs into efficient electrical schematics and control logic, and integrating them with mechanical and software components. This role demands a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and collaborative problem-solving within a diverse engineering environment.

In this role, you will report to the Regional Automation Architect.

Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Design automation machine concept and process to meet the requirement

  • Create the BoM for automation components and work with purchasing team

  • Perform the automation line installation

  • Programming the PLC for control automation machines.

  • Programming Robotics Coding

  • Programming the image processing for automation machines

  • Direct contact with in-house and end users

  • Provide machine instruction manual and training

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

  • Knowledge and experience with PLC (Siemens) and ABB, KUKA, Robotics programming would be advantageous

  • Electrical wiring and schematic drawing experience/knowledge is required (Preferably in Eplan)

  • Knowledge and experience in Electrical and Pneumatic system design

  • Result-oriented, hard-working, and reliable person

  • Track record of successful application development is a plus

  • Solid troubleshooting and communication skills

  • Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking abilities

  • Basic Knowledge with image processing/machine vision, robot programming for automation is a plus

  • Have a passion for this automation job

  • Result-oriented, hard-working, and reliable person

  • Fluent in English

  • Fluent in local language

  • Proficiency in other regional languages, especially Mandarin Chinese, are an asset.

Typical Experience

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in software development

Typical Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechatronic, Electronic, Electrical Engineering or related field
