Summary

We are looking for a data-driven Product Performance & Monitoring Specialist to be the guardian of our product’s health and user experience. You will be responsible for building the infrastructure that tracks how our product performs—both technically and commercially. Your mission is to transform raw data into actionable insights that prevent churn, optimize the user funnel, and ensure our features are delivering maximum value.

Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Dashboard Ownership: Design, build, and maintain real-time performance dashboards using tools like Tableau, Looker, or PowerBI.
  • Anomaly Detection: Monitor daily product health and proactively alert the team to significant shifts in user behavior or system performance.
  • Funnel Optimization: Analyze the user journey to identify friction points. You will explain why users drop off and suggest data-backed UX improvements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the liaison between Engineering (monitoring system uptime/latency) and Product Management (monitoring feature adoption).
  • Impact Assessment: Conduct post-launch analysis for every new feature to measure success against original KPIs.
  • Data Integrity: Work with engineers to ensure event tracking (segmentation, telemetry) is accurately implemented.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced SQL skills are required. Experience with Python or R for statistical analysis is highly preferred.
  • Tooling: Experience with product analytics suites (e.g., Amplitude, Mixpanel, or Heap) and technical monitoring tools (e.g., Celestica-own monitoring system.
  • Analytical Mindset: Proven ability to perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) when metrics deviate from the baseline.
  • Communication: Ability to translate complex data sets into a "story" for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Education: Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.

Physical Demands

  • Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.

Typical Experience

  • 8 to 10 years of relevant work experience is mandatory

Typical Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
