Summary

As a expert in the mechanical engineering field, you will play a core role in making mechanical technology decisions, collaborating across teams, and solving problems throughout the entire product lifecycle (from R&D design to mass production management). You will be responsible for the inheritance and innovation of mechanical engineering technologies, ensuring that the product's mechanical design meets the industry's top standards and supports large-scale mass production. In particular, you must be proficient in the analysis and confirmation of stacking errors. Provide suggestions and optimizations for product assembly methods and processes to improve mass production feasibility and output, and conduct simultaneous evaluation, planning, and preparation for automation. #LI-WP1

Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Lead mechanical evaluation of new products, identify risks (strength, interference, heat dissipation mismatches) and ensure DFA compliance.
  • Provide DFx guidance, evaluate stacking errors/tolerances, and design compensation mechanisms.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to resolve mechanical issues (flyover cables, high-frequency/optical connectors, assembly integration).
  • Coordinate root cause analysis using 3D tolerance simulation and support failure analysis at production sites.
  • Lead verification plans for mass production jigs and guide use of testing tools (CMM, pull gauges, chambers).
  • Optimize data collection methods to improve accuracy in mechanical testing.
  • Support certification of alternative components, reviewing tolerances, strength, and design compatibility.
  • Guide setup of assembly processes, tooling debugging, and equipment calibration before mass production.
  • Conduct training on mechanical design and stacking error control, build knowledge base, and share best practices.
  • Explore and validate next-gen mechanical technologies (lightweight materials, modular design, water cooling, intelligent assembly).

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

  • Proficient in mechanical design principles (strength, tolerance, kinematics) and materials (metal, plastic, composites).
  • Skilled in CAD software (SolidWorks, Pro/E) and simulation tools (ANSYS, ADAMS); expertise in stacking error/tolerance simulation.
  • Strong understanding of mechanics with heat dissipation/electrical performance and complex product assembly processes.
  • Knowledge of human factor engineering and optimization methods.
  • Strategic thinking to align mechanical technology roadmap with product cost, reliability, and scalability goals.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to drive cross-team collaboration and consensus.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to turn complex mechanical technologies into executable plans.
  • Capable of training and knowledge transfer on advanced analysis and stacking error control.

Typical Experience

  • 15+ years of overall relevant experience preferred.
  • 8+ years of mechanical engineering experience in the consumer electronics, industrial equipment, or data center fields.
  • Have leadership experience in mechanical design projects for complex products (such as server chassis, precision instrument enclosures); have successful cases of solving extremely complex mechanical problems (such as product stacking error control, structural stability optimization in high-frequency and high-temperature environments).

Typical Education

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Design-related majors; minoring in business/operations/technology management-related courses is recommended
  • Priority will be given to candidates with mechanical design or quality certifications (such as Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt).
  • Educational Requirements may vary by Geography
